For the first time, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park is opening itself up to campers. Five primitive campsites will be available this summer behind Stanford House in Peninsula. They’re open only to distance hikers and bicyclists along the Ohio and Erie Canal and Buckeye trials beginning May 28th.

On January 7, the District held its kick-off meeting for the 2010-2011 Student Code of Conduct Review Committee. The committee was formed, following a national controversy over a first-grader being ordered to an alternative school, after he brought a camping utensil, with a knife, to school.
