Grand Junction, Colo. Camping fees at the Colorado National Monument may double next year, if a new proposal is passed. The National Park Service is proposing an increase to both entry and camping fees.

For the first time, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park is opening itself up to campers. Five primitive campsites will be available this summer behind Stanford House in Peninsula. They’re open only to distance hikers and bicyclists along the Ohio and Erie Canal and Buckeye trials beginning May 28th.
